West of Scotland Cup 1st Round Victory

One of many cups this season and United Glasgow came out the starting blocks with a strong first half performance. Harry, playing as lone striker, was fed through by a barrage of inspired through passes from midfield.  Despite this first half dominance, United were unable to break the deadlock and gifted River Nevis a couple of openings.

Then early in the second half, some fine wing play and cut back saw David folded and the penalty given....The rest was all Gerry.

United continued to push forward, with Harry and debutant Kevin working particularly hard to press high up the pitch.

The azonto boy Harry finally got his reward for his running, rounding the keeper after yet another fine through ball from Marc.

Then it was Marc's turn to finish after a fine ball through, followed by a generous own goal from the River Nevis defence.  With a couple minutes left, the losing side grabbed one back but it was too little too late.
