Players in and out, United shaking it all about!

Everyone is back in action this week as United Glasgow FC aim to build on last weekend's showings of 2 wins from 3 games, aiming to do better this weekend!

The Men's Saturday Teams face another adventure out of Glasgow as they trave to Greenock to play against Belleaire at 2pm on Saturday 27th. United played Belleaire in the league cup last season but much has changed since those early games, with many players having come and gone, so United will be hoping to come back to Glasgow with the three points like they did last weekend in Campbeltown. However, they'll need to do this without regular goalkeeper Fraser and Mohammed Mna who both miss out this weekend.

After a week off, our Men's Sunday team are back in action this weekend against one of last season's high flyers in the GCCL, Harmony Row, at Scotstoun Stadium at 2pm. While they've not started the season strongly, the guys from the Sir Alex Ferguson Park will provide a stern test for the Sunday team who will be looking to get over the bitter disappointment of their last game, against Glasgow St Pauli; having a valid goal chopped off at 1-1 with 5 minutes to go before conceding with the last kick of the ball to lose 2-1. With players returning from work commitments and long term injuries, the Sunday team should be pushing to take their first three points of the campaign.

Our women's team will be looking to bounce back from last week's defeat to league leaders Renfrew Ladies against Bishopton, where the team recorded their first competitive point last season. The games between the two have been close and despite the number of players unavailable and injured, the team is boosted by finally securing international clearance for Holly to play (having left Sporting Khalsa in Wolverhampton months ago) after an arduous process with the Scottish and English FAs. The game will be played at Park Mains High School, in Erskine rather than Bishopton, with a 2pm kick off.

Finally, the Men's Development Team, still buzzing from their unbeaten start to the campaign, play at Springburn Park Synthetic Pitch again at 12pm, this time against AC Kelvingrove. Having secured a place in, at least, the consolation cup for one more round at least, the team is in good spirits. However, having lost Abdulmajet (to a Sunday job) and Andrew (promoted to Neil's team) they'll need to rely on others to plug gaps at the back as admirably as those guys did. AC Kelvingrove will provide a very stern test but in 2016, year of the underdog, anything is possible.

As always, your support is welcome. More details on the games and how to get there in the fixtures section of the website.
