Cup Weekend Ahead!

A big weekend for United Glasgow Football Club's men's teams as all three launch into cup competitions in their first competitive games of 2016!

Our men's Saturday team will travel to Drumchapel to face Duntocher Hibs from the Premier Division of the West of Scotland AFL in the League Cup. Duntocher finished second in the WOSAFL and also won this competition last season so will provde a tough task for Euan McLeod's men! The game will be played at the Donald Dewar Leisure Centre in Clydebank with a 2pm kick off.

The following day, our men's Development team travel to Clydebank to face off against Drumbank Thistle in the GCCL Football V Homophobia Cup first round. Drumbank are currently lying 9th in the GCCL and reached the semi finals of the Show Racism the Red Card Cup a few months ago. The match will take place at Clydebank High School with a 2pm kick off.

And back in Glasgow, our men's Sunday team will play Dumbreck for the third time this season also in the GCCL Football V Homophobia Cup. With the previous games this season finishing 4-1 to United Glasgow and 5-2 to Dumbreck, this promises to be an exciting affair at Springburn Park at 12pm.

What better way to spend your weekend than getting along to watch the guys play? Maybe it'll be the start of a cup run...!
