United Glasgow's Men's Saturday Team World Tour of the West Coast of Scotland continues tomorrow as they travel to Cardross looking to leapfrog their rivals into 4th place in the table! Feeling that they let themselves down against Belleaire in Greenock last week, the team will be hoping to show more desire and intensity this week and return to Glasgow with the 3 points! White kits, a point to prove and the Scottish rain... What could be better? The game will kick off at 2pm at Church Avenue, Cardross (G82 5NS).
Also on Saturday, the United Glasgow Men's Development Team take advantage of their week off by welcoming Hotscots from Edinburgh through to Glasgow to play the third friendly in the last 12 months between the two. With the "series" tied at 5-5 at the moment, a new-look Development Team will be looking to bounce back from last week's harrowing defeat to AC Kelvingrove ahead of a bounce game on Sunday. The game will be down at Glasgow Green Football Centre at 12pm and some of the guys from both teams will be heading to McChuills after the game.
The draw for the GFSN Northern Cup will be drawn in the next few days as well, meaning United Glasgow will put forward a team to play against one of 7 teams from across Scotland and Northern England at some point in the next few months. Thanks to Hotscots for getting us involved!
On Sunday, United Glasgow's Men's Sunday team continue their battles in the "group of death" which they were handed in the Show Racism the Red Card League Cup. After a tight defeat by Glasgow St Pauli and a not-so-tight defeat to Harmony Row, the team will be looking to get their first points on the board against last season's Champions Garnock Sunday at Ralston at 1pm. Garnock sneaked a win over United in pre-season and with additional players settled into the squad now, United will be hoping to come out on top in this bout!
