United: creating opportunities, tackling exclusion.
Our two guiding principles when we started our project were anti-discrimination and financial inclusion. By keeping our costs to an absolute minimum and not charging players for games or training where we can we manage to bring together individuals from communities who would otherwise probably never have met through a shared love of football.
More than just a football club…
Since 2011, United Glasgow FC has welcomed players from over 50 countries and currently makes football accessible and affordable to almost 200 players across our four teams and other sessions. We have players of all genders, sexual orientations, religions, ethnicities, socio-economic positions and immigration statuses - and we're all United.
Partners and Friends
A project such as United Glasgow Football Club has been heavily reliant on funding from funders, charities, football supporters and individuals to keep going.
Here you can find some of our most significant sponsors and funders, along with other football teams, supporters groups and campaigns which have supported our work or have similar goals to ours.
United Glasgow remains an organisation run by ordinary Glasgow people for everyone in Glasgow. We are run 100% by volunteers and very much appreciate any support for any of our projects.
