United - near and far (very far!)

Three of United Glasgow FC's four teams will be back in action this weekend with games across Glasgow and further afield.

Carradale away...

Carradale away...

After back-to-back defeats to South Lochaber United and Newshot, United Glasgow Men's Saturday Team will be looking to bounce back against Carradale in the WoSAFL. This match marks the furthest any United Glasgow FC men's team has travelled for a competitive game with the match being played in Campbeltown on the Kintyre Peninsula! Carradale are also looking for their first points of the season but United will be aiming to take 3 points away for the three and a half hour journey home...!

United Glasgow Women's Team - Coming to Get You!

United Glasgow Women's Team - Coming to Get You!

At Sunday lunchtime, United Glasgow women's team aim to get over a harrowing defeat to Dumbarton United last week against runaway league leaders Renfrew Ladies at Scotstoun Stadium. Renfrew hit 9 without reply against United the last time and they'll be out to make sure that doesn't happen again! While United are in the midst of an injury crisis, new players and experienced players returning will make an impact!

At the same time, at Springburn, United Glasgow's Men Development Team will be looking to build on their 4-4 draw against Southside United last week against GCCL newbies Glasgow on the Ball in their League Cup section. With two places up for grabs in the Show Racism the Red Card League Cup (and two in the consolation cup) another point, or three, would hopefully secure continued cup matches for the Development Team for another round at least. With dozens of players to choose from, United will be looking to inflict another defeat on the GCCL newcomers, who fell to a 5-1 defeat last week against AC Kelvingrove (who United play next).

As always, your support is appreciated, come along and cheer on United Glasgow! Details of the venues are in the fixtures section of the website.
