United Glasgow Football Club is delighted to welcome two new coaches on board who will take charge of our Men's Sunday Team from this week, David Walker and Sandeep Singh. Their first competitive game in charge will be on Sunday 3rd December against AC Kelvingrove.
David Walker holds an HND in Sports Coaching and Development (Football Studies) from Glasgow Kelvin College, with additional SFA Coach Education qualifications and certification in Coaching Footballers with a Disability from the SFA. His previous coaching experience includes voluntary roles with Central Youth, Lenzie Academy, The SFA and McDonald’s Schools Programme. While serving as President of the Student Association at Glasgow Kelvin College, David was involved in the administration of the college’s football program within the BUCS league, and oversaw a major expansion of the college’s football teams from one men’s team, to three men’s teams and a women’s team, during his tenure.
Sandeep Singh has 11 years of coaching experience, building up significant SFA coach education qualifications while working predominantly with youth teams including Partick Thistle, Aitkenhead Thistle, FC Thistle and, more recently, leading Dunrobin Primary School to winning the Airdrie Schools Cup for the first time in their history. Sandeep is already heavily involved in United Glasgow Football Club. On the pitch he captained the Development Team and won Player of the Year in the 2015-16 season and off the field he has been a constant presence at marches and fundraisers, along with helping to run workshops on sexual orientation and gender identity at the Club's Education Days.
United Glasgow Football Club is delighted to have David and Sandeep on board.
